Port Talbot is a town in Neath Port Talbot in Wales. It has a population of 37,276 and a current average sale price of £119,144. The town is situated 7 miles east of Swansea across the Swansea Bay.

The town is home to Port Talbot Steelworks, which is one of the largest steel plants in Europe. Over 4,000 people are employed at the steelworks. Attractions in Port Talbot include Margam Castle, a Victorian era country house constructed between 1830 and 1840 and a Grade I listed building. Margam Abbey was formerly a Cistercian monastery and was founded in 1147. The remains date from the thirteenth-century, some of which are Grade I listed. There are also a number of museums in the area, such as the South Wales Miners' Museum and Margam Stones Museum.

Port Talbot has facilities for sports such as rugby, cricket and football. Port Talbot F.C. play their home games at Victoria Road, which has a capacity of 6,000.

There are several schools in Port Talbot, including Dyffryn School.

Port Talbot railway station offers services to destinations including London, Swansea, Milford Haven, Carmarthen, Manchester, Cardiff, Newport and Shrewsbury. There are bus services in operation in the town.
